Why am I putting together a blog at all?
I want to have a place where I can document some projects and also share interesting information. In some cases I'll document a process that I had to figure out for the first time. That way, when time has passed and I need to do the same again, I'm not relearning from scratch. I've been surprised at how many time this would be handy. Based on previous experience, that exact situation has come up more than once. And what better way to record what I've learned for my own use as well as sharing with anyone who may be attempting to do the same thing.
Here is a short list of my interests and some possible areas for future writing ideas:
- Information Security
- Industrial Control Systems
- Statistical Analysis
- Electronics (Arduino/Raspberry Pi)
- Home Improvement
I like the challenge of learning something new and seeing a project completed.
Inspiration for starting a blog came from a twitter post. On August 4th, 2017 @venu_kailas tweeted "How to Build a Successful Information Security Career" by Daniel Miessler.
I figure I would check out the web site and see what it was all about. The article was nicely done and gave me quite a few ideas to pursue, one of them being to start a blog! I definitely recommend checking it out: How to Build a Successful Information Security Career.
And so it's done. First post completed and I can now move on to creating many more!
